How to Get a Deep Tan
Tan skin is widely sought after. It reduces the
appearance of blemishes, makes you appear slimmer, and overall is an
effective way to improve the appearance of your health. The darker your tan,
the sexier you become, and people the world over seek out ways to get a deep
dark tan in order to vastly improve their appearance.
Tanning, however, is not particularly safe. It is
important to recognize that a dark tan is proof of a great deal of skin
damage, especially in people that originally had fair skin. As a result,
going after a dark tan requires subjecting your skin to a great deal of
damage, so it is not recommended by dermatologists.
That said, there is no denying that people will
still risk their skin health in order to pursue the dark tan. So here is how
to get a dark tan correctly when you have light skin.
Step 1: Start Small
Your first step is going to be starting with very
little sun. There is no denying that you will get darker if you stay out for
a long period of time. The problem, however, is that if you get a bad burn,
you are going to need to spend weeks indoors with your skin red and peeling.
That time indoors is going to defeat the gains you got by skipping ahead, as
well as make you physically unattractive and in pain. Start with only 4 or 5
minutes in a tanning booth or limit your time in the sun considerably to
make sure that you tan without burning. You may not notice it, but
underneath your skin tanning will start to occur.
Step 2: Cool Off
Every time you tan, you should have a 48 hour
cooling down period where you do not try to tan again. Your skin will be hot
and compensating for its previous exposure, so it will need time for the tan
base to be created and the skin to cool again. Going out and tanning again
will only cause burns without much tanning gained.
Step 3: Incremental Lengths
Finally, once you notice a base tan appearing,
slowly start increasing the amount of time that you spend in the sun. Do not
overdo it. Remember – sun damage and sun exposure work quickly. There are
times of the year that only 15 minutes in the sun can give you a severe
burn. Tanning does not and should not be an all day activity. However, the
tanner you are, the more you can add length to the amount of time you spend
tanning. This will improve the depth and darkness of your tan until you
eventually have a deep and dark tan.
Provided you go slowly in getting your tan and
avoid burning, you should be able to get a dark tan fairly easily. But if
you try to go too quickly and burn your skin, not only are you doing greater
skin damage but you are also causing peeling and discomfort, which will keep
you away from tanning for longer.
